The advanced QuickSpell feature intelligently searches addresses and Points of Interest, offering you a simple list of available locations. It even checks spelling so you can enter a destination with just a few touches of the screen. SmartDetour prompts you to route around sudden slow or stopped freeway traffic and automatically re-calculates the fastest detour.

The integrated rechargeable battery offers navigation for up to three hours. Search destinations, plan trips and enter addresses and personal Points of Interest from a meeting place, restaurant or anywhere power is unavailable.

Magellan Roadmate 1420

Magellan RoadMate 1420 is a super thin, fast to pick-up satellites, and comes with everything you need right out of the box. The battery can last 2 hours on a full charge (which takes 4 to 6 hours). The large screen is very, very nice and the colors are vibrant. It’s also very easy to read the street names as you drive by them. The Roadmate adjusts routes pretty quickly and give accurate alternative directions after making adjustments. It doesn’t give annoying “off route” messages as some GPS do. It automatically recalculates the route and only if it cannot find another way it make a save U turn. The AAA feature is very good and easy to use.
